Biography
Juanita Metzler, CMP, is Senior Director of Conventions with Travel Lane County in Eugene, OR. Juanita has been with them just short of 15 years and has been in the industry for 25+ years (planner and then moved to supplier). Juanita works with convention and meeting planners in all markets, except Sports. She loves helping a planner move their event vision from a dream to a reality.
With a degree in Managerial Leadership, Juanita has worked in advertising, commercial interior design, the ski industry, computer hardware and software development, commercial instrumentation as well as being a meeting planner and now a supplier.
Believing that we should be involved in our local community, Juanita is on the Ethics and Leadership Advisory Panel for Bushnell University, an ex officio member of Wordcrafters (a non-profit she co-founded), and co-teaches a CMP Certification Bookcamp for MPI-Oregon.
When Juanita is not at Travel Lane County she enjoys traveling with her husband, attending Oregon Duck sports events, trips to the beach, kayaking, volunteering and spending time with her two little granddaughters. “Being a GiGi is one of the best gifts I have received”.
