Janis Breedlove

Janis Breedlove is Vice President of Events & Experiences with Sports Events & Tourism Association, responsible for managing all events for the association.

Prior to joining Sports ETA in January 2020, Janis was Vice President of Convention & Sports Marketing for Travel Lane County, the DMO in Eugene, Oregon. Her experience also includes hotel sales, corporate meeting and event management, and marketing communications.

She earned an MBA and Bachelors in Business Administration from Portland State University.

Janis served on the Sports Events & Tourism Association Board of Directors prior to joining the staff. Additionally, she served on the organizing committees for the U.S. Olympic Track & Field Trials in 2008, 2012 and 2016, IAAF World Junior Track & Field Championships in 2014 and was part of the bid committee for the 2022 World Athletics Championships.

She is past president of Meeting Professionals International Oregon Chapter.

A lifelong Oregonian, Janis lives in Cottage Grove with her husband, Brian.
