J.B. Carney

J.B. Carney is the Senior Director of Sports at Travel Lane County, where he leads efforts to drive sports tourism and elevate the region’s reputation as a premier destination for sports events. With 20 years of experience in the hospitality and tourism industry, J.B. has held key leadership roles in both sales and operations. His extensive experience in both hospitality and sports tourism has enabled him to develop strong partnerships and successfully bring sporting events of all sizes to Lane County. J.B. holds a Master’s degree in Hospitality Administration from Oklahoma State University and is a recent graduate of the Oregon Tourism Leadership Academy. He is deeply committed to the community, having served eight years on the Travel Lane County Board, including two years as Board Chair. He volunteers with KidSports, TrackTown USA, and the Eugene Parks Foundation and is a Co-chair of the Sports ETA (Sports Events and Tourism Association) – College Events Community.
