Cathy Kretz, CMP

Cathy has worked in the meetings industry for over 35 years, working first in hotels and then Travel Portland where she has worked for 26 years as a National Account Director specializing in the Sports Market.

Cathy works in partnership with Sport Oregon to market Portland for sports meetings and events ranging anywhere from small competitions to large national and international events such as the NCAA March Madness tournaments, the MLS Allstar Game, the World Indoor Track & Field Championships and upcoming events such as USA Fencing Nationals and the 2030 Women’s Final Four.

She is a 3rd generation native Oregonian growing up in Lake Oswego and graduating from the University of Oregon. She has two daughters and two grandchildren (who are particularly adorable).  She and her husband enjoy camping, hiking, skiing and watching the Oregon Ducks play football.
